How do I buy an original?
Original artwork is available for purchase through my website or my instagram page.
Can I commission a painting?
I am currently not offering commissions. When commissions are available they can be arranged through private treaty. Please join the email subscription to be notified first.
What should I expect when I purchase a painting from you?
Every piece will come carefully wrapped and shipped to you by me. Shipping materials will change according to availability and needs, but a strong cardboard shipping box with bubblewrap and paper fill is usually best for ensuring safe travels.
Each painting will come with a letter of authenticity, signed by me, with the date of it’s creation, mediums used, sizes and dimensions and any other information the help identify the piece. I like to include a thank you letter written to you the collector. An invoice will also be included in the package as proof of purchase. Condition reports are also included to help you know how to care for your new piece and track its condition. Finally, a provenance document which is a record of ownership for a fine art piece.
Framing
Oil and acrylic paintings can be framed in a floating frame, standard frame or a gallery frame. Most of my pieces will be framed in the latter as they are stretched canvases. In the product photos on my website you should get a good idea of what the frame looks like, but if you would rather not purchase the painting with the frame it can be arranged.
Original watercolor and gouache artwork is often not offered with a frame because shipping can be dangerous when glass panels are concerned, however if you need a piece framed and would prefer that I do the framing that can be arranged privately, please reach out to langloisfineart@gmail.com.
There are great options for custom framing through Micheals stores or other shops. Often framing yourself can also be a great option. Frames are offered in many different sizes and and shapes, colors and textures. If your artwork is an odd size or you wish to have a custom colored mat a great option is to pick the frame and have the mat cut professionally. I am always happy to help advise on framing sizing, matting, etc.
I do recommend having a glass panel covering your artwork to protect any original watercolor or gouache art.
